Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant you will provide high quality accounting advice to clients, support managers as well as provide direction, guidance and mentorship to other team members.

You will take leadership of:

  • Reviewing tax returns and researching complex tax matters
  • Finalising BAS returns and preparing group accounts for complex entities
  • Managing GST reconciliations and FBT issues
  • Analysing Div7A issues and conducting tax planning
  • Assisting with structuring and trust deed compliance
  • Providing accounting software training and mentoring junior staff
  • Your journey to gain exposure to Business Advisory services and other special client work engagements

Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum 4 years accounting experience in Public Practice
  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce preferably with a major in Accounting, plus CA or CPA qualification
  • Sound understanding of Australia’s taxation and privacy laws
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and solve problems efficiently, focusing on solution-based outcomes for our clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in mentoring and developing others
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and resolving client queries
  • Familiarity with ATO and Office of State Revenue
  • Strong Australian technical accounting, tax and financial reporting knowledge
Accountant

We’re on the lookout for an Accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join our dynamic team. If you’re ready to take your accounting career to the next level and make a significant impact, this opportunity is tailor-made for you.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, businesses, trusts and superannuation funds
  • BAS, IAS and FBT preparation
  • Creation and maintenance of the Asset Register
  • Accounts Workpapers, including Indexing and Completion
  • Budget, cashflow and forecast creation, and client correspondence
  • Your journey to gain exposure to Business Advisory services and other special client work engagements

 

Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience in Public Practice
  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce preferably with a major in Accounting, and have commenced CA/CPA studies
  • Sound understanding of Australia’s taxation and privacy laws
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and solve problems efficiently, focusing on solution-based outcomes for our clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience collaborating within a team to complete tasks
  • Familiarity with ATO and Office of State Revenue
  • Strong Australian technical accounting, tax and financial reporting knowledge
